The climate in Union County is really superb. The summers are warm, ranging from 80-90's , but the temp always dips into the 60's and 70's at night. The nights are never warm. There are over 300 days of sun per year. Rain is generally 10-15 inches per year. Winter days can be warm, sunny and beautiful, however fierce stoms from the North delivering significant snow and wind can be very severe and life threatening to travelers. We are in the class IV wind zone, so there is a constant prevailing southwest wind of about 10-15 knotts on most days. The climate is dry, arid, slightly breezy, always sunny, usually warm, temperate and nice. I personally think it is one of the best climates in the world.
